Something’s just not right with the official account of the horror in Norway

I smell cover-up and political agenda — both in the official version of events and the media coverage of this horror.

Something’s just not right with the official version of events.

They are blaming one man, Anders Breivik,  for detonating an enormous  bomb in downtown Oslo, and then racing to the island of Utoya to gun down as many teens as he could at a summer camp.

Does this make any sense at all?

Remember, original reports focused on the liklihood that the bombing was the work of Islamic militants, in particular Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami, or Helpers of the Global Jihad, cited by some analysts as claiming responsibility for the attacks.

Here’s video of what Oslo looked like after the bombing . . . supposedly by the same man who then raced to an island to gun down all those teens:

As you can see, the damage to downtown Oslo was enormous.

So what we are supposed to believe is that one man did this much damage in two places by completely different means. I smell a rat.  This story is just not credible.

THEORY:

Norway’s unpopular Labor government (desperate to hang onto power) might be eager to blame

both attacks on this supposed right wing Christian fundamentalist crazy man, thus perhaps boosting their standing in the polls.

The liberal U.S. media also loves this template. What liberals want everyone to believe is that the real threat to domestic tranquility is Sarah Palin and Tea Party types.

Remember when they tried to blame Jared Loughner’s shooting rampage in Arizona on conservative talk radio and Sarah Palin.

Then it turned out he didn’t listen to conservative radio, did not follow the news at all, and had no interest in politics.

Remember when the media tried to tell us that Timothy McVeigh was a Christian? Then it turned out he was an atheist.

I think something a long these lines is happening here.

MY PREDICTION: It will turn out that some Islamic terrorist group did blow up downtown Oslo. And this guy’s really not a Christian fundamentalist.

Funny how there was virtually no coverage in the mainstream media of the fact that the Unabomber had a copy of Al Gore’s book  ’Earth in the Blanace’ in his shack. Gore’s book was heavily underlined with lots of handwritten notes in the margins by the Unabomber.

But not much concern by liberals about violent environmental extremists — such as Earth First.

SIDENOTE: It’s worth noting that Norway has some of the world’s toughest gun control laws. Had someone had a gun, this lunatic might have been stopped before he could kill 90+ kids. The same can be said about Jared Loughner. Had someone in the crowd had a gun, Loughner might have been stopped and lives saved.

Oh oh . . . Norwegian mass-murderer identified by government as right wing Christian fundamentalist

91 now confirmed dead

NEW YORK TIMES: The Norwegian police on Saturday charged a 32-year-old man, whom they

Gunman Anders Breivik

identified as a Christian fundamentalist with right-wing connections, over the bombing of a government center here and a shooting attack on a nearby island that together left at least 91 people dead.

The police said they did not know if the man, identified by the Norwegian media as Anders Behring Breivik, was part of a larger conspiracy. He is being questioned under the country’s terrorism laws, the police said, and is cooperating with the investigation of the attacks, the deadliest on Norwegian soil since World War II.

“We are not sure whether he was alone or had help,” a police official, Roger Andresen, said at a televised news conference. “What we know is that he is right-wing and a Christian fundamentalist.” So far Mr. Breivik has not been linked to any anti-jihadist groups, he said.

Survivors describe how he just stalked them and shot them

ASSOCIATED PRESS: The man in the police uniform shouted for the campers to come closer. When they did, he killed them.
The gunman who killed at least 80 people at an island youth camp northwest of Oslo used his disguise to lure in his victims, then shot them twice to make sure they were dead, survivors said in the village of Sundvollen, where they were taken after the massacre.
“I saw many dead people,” said 15-year old Elise, whose father, Vidar Myhre, didn’t want her to disclose her last name. She just feet away from the gunman when he opened fire in the camp on Utoya island.
Elise said she had just come out from an information meeting in a nearby building when she heard gunshots. She saw a police officer and thought she was safe, but then he started shooting.

U.K. DAILY MAIL: His boots crunching along as he sought out his victims and wearing what appeared to be a police uniform, he shot at them twice to make sure they were dead.

Adrian Pracon, who was shot in the shoulder as he lay face down, playing dead, said he heard the killer shouting about how everyone was going to die.

The 21-year-old said: ‘He yelled out that he was going to kill us all and that we must all die. I started speculating and thinking this can’t be real because Norwegian people wouldn’t attack Norway.’

Gunman: Anders Breivik has been arrested by police after the shooting in Utoeya
Mr Pracon also described how he could hear the blue-eyed gunman’s boots as he walked along the rocks and felt his breath moments before he shot him in the back.

‘I was lying on a rock, face down and I could hear him coming. I could feel his breath.

‘As he approached, he shot at me to see if I was dead and fortunately I didn’t move so he thought I was dead.

‘I was laying there for two hours, still healthy but very cold.’

Before he was shot Mr Pracon said he had tried to escape the island by swimming into the ocean but only managed a short distance before deciding to turn back.

‘I jumped into the water like the rest of the people but I did not have time to take my clothes off and it had started to rain.

‘When I had swum about 100 metres I felt I had to turn back because I started to get very cold and felt I might meet a certain death.’

Once he reached the shore he saw Breivik who pointed his gun at him.

‘I screamed to him, please no please. I didn’t know if he didn’t want to just kill me because I was one person or if he preferred to kill a group of people.
