Donald Trump says he has sent a team of investigators to Hawaii to find out about Barack Obama’s birth certificate. Trump says: “You won’t believe what they’re finding.”

Trump says the only thing Obama has done well is get elected. Says ObamaCare is a total disaster. Says the world “laughs at us” because of Obama’s incompetence. Says Obama is destroying the country.

I can’t want to see what Trump’s team of detectives and investigators comes up with in Hawaii on the true origins of Obama’s birth. Gotta love The Donald.

Trump seems to think this issue could become the defining issue of the 2012 campaign.

What a scream.

The Donald also says he’s a Tea Partier. The rest of the GOP field looks pretty lame. Why not The Donald for President in 2012?

We’d probably see some Bimbo Eruptions.  But that didn’t seem to hurt Bill Clinton.

At least, Trump has actually run something . . . and been very successful at it.

NEW YORK TIMES: The state would charge $100 for a copy of President Obama’s birth records under a bill introduced in the Legislature by five Democrats. It would change a privacy law barring the release of birth records unless the person seeking them has a tangible interest.

The bill has not been scheduled for a public hearing, and cannot move forward unless that happens. But the idea behind it is to end skepticism over Mr. Obama’s birthplace while raising a little money for a government. “If it passes, it will calm the birthers down,” the bill’s main sponsor, Representative Rida Cabanilla, said of people who claim there is no proof Mr. Obama was born in the United States, and therefore cannot be president. “All these people are still doubting it because they don’t want the birth certificate from Obama. They want it from our state office.”

President Obama provoked fresh outrage today after taking a 20-man motorcade to visit a childhood friend during his lavish Christmas holiday in Hawaii.

The 10-vehicle convoy drove the president and wife Michelle from his rental property in Kailua, across highways cleared of traffic and through a military community to reach Bobby Titcomb’s beachfront house.

Mr Obama, who spent eight years at Punahou School in Hawaii before graduating in 1979, has splashed out $1.5m on his trip – a decision that will not endear him to the millions of Americans facing economic hardship in the New Year.
