Obama won’t release photos of dead bin Laden. Says ‘We don’t need to spike the football’
In making his case, Obama compared releasing photos of dead bin Laden to photos being release of dead American soldiers. Apparently, Obama thinks bin Laden is tjust like an American soldier.
NEW YORK POST: President Barack Obama said Wednesday that he had decided not to release photos of Osama bin Laden’s body because “that’s not who we are.”
“That’s not who we are. We don’t trot this stuff out as trophies,” he told CBS correspondent Steve Kroft in a “60 Minutes” interview.
“We don’t need to spike the football,” he added.
The president’s comments in the interview were read out by press secretary Secretary Jay Carney at Wednesday’s White House briefing.
“There are going to be some who deny it,” Obama told Kroft. “The fact of the matter is you will not see Osama bin Laden walking on this earth again.”
