Taliban recruiting nine-year-old children to be suicide bombers

Nice people, these Taliban and jihadists. How could any sane person what to be part of this movement?

U.K. TELEGRAPH: Police seized a nine-year-old and three others aged between 12 and 14 as they tried to cross into eastern Afghanistan.

A spokesman for the Afghan intelligence agency said the boy is believed to be the youngest suicide bomber ever intercepted, though children as young as five have been used to plant bombs in Helmand.
The use of child suicide bombers to target Nato troops, government officials and those working with Hamid Karzai’s government has been an insurgent tactic for several years, he said, but had increased recently.

al-Qaeda says Libya and Arab revolts wonderful for al-Qaeda

Of course that’s what’s happening — which is why Obama is supporting them.

U.K. TELEGRAPH: Anwar al-Awlaki, al-Qaeda’s most influential English-language preacher, said revolts sweeping the Arab world would help rather than harm its cause by giving Islamists freed from tyranny greater scope to speak out.

Western and Arab officials say the example set by young Arabs seeking peaceful political change is a counterweight to al-Qaeda’s push for violent militancy and weakens its argument that democracy and Islam are incompatible.

But al-Awlaki, who has been linked to a series of terrorist plots, said the removal of anti-Islamist autocrats meant Islamic fighters and scholars were now freer to discuss and organise.

“Our mujahideen brothers in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and the rest of the Muslim world will get a chance to breathe again after three decades of suffocation,” he wrote, using a term that refers generally to Islamic guerrilla groups or holy warriors.

LIBYA WAR: Once again, U.S. finds itself supporting al-Qaeda and America-hating Jihadists

WASHINGTON EXAMINER: There’s no question that the rebels Americans are currently fighting for in Libya include in their ranks jihadis who in recent years traveled to Iraq and Afghanistan to kill Americans. The only question is whether that worries you or not.

Take Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, a leader of U.S.-supported rebels in the fighting for Adjabiya. His hometown, Darnah, has produced many jihadis, and after the Sept. 11 attacks al-Hasidi traveled to Afghanistan to fight the “foreign invasion” — that is, the U.S. military. According to a report in Britain’s Daily Telegraph, al-Hasidi says he was later captured in Pakistan, handed over to the U.S., then held in prison in Libya before being released in 2008.

In addition to fighting the U.S. in Afghanistan, al-Hasidi also says he recruited about two dozen men to fight the U.S. in Iraq.

Now al-Hasidi and his allies are moving toward Tripoli, which would not be possible without the military power of the United States. The men who devoted so much energy to killing Americans are now thankfully watching Americans kill for them.

Israel Paper: ‘The West’s Decline is Underway’

YNET NEWS: “Civilizations die from suicide, not by murder,” wrote British historian Arnold Toynbee in the middle of the 20th Century. At this time it appears that Western civilization no longer has the strength, desire and willingness to stand up to its external enemies and especially to face liberal leftist elements within it that do everything in their power to render it powerless.

And so, it took NATO a week to issue the “brave” statement that it will not interfere in the Libyan carnage, it took nine days for the president of the American superpower to condemn the massacre in the country, and the UN secretary general needed 10 days to call for a Security Council session in order to mull “far-reaching” steps such as sanctions against the Libyan regime. This is more or less the amazing effort that the West, with its great military might, was able to produce in the face of a nutty leader and a military that is no match for even a tiny part of NATO’s force in Europe.
